What are your hours of operation? 

Spring/Summer hours 7am -5pm. Fall/Winter hours Monday – Thursday 8-4pm and Friday – Sunday 7-4pm 
Please check with the golf shop for cart return times. 

How can I book a tee time? 

Tee times can be booked online at volcanogc.com or by calling (808) 319-4745. Online booking is recommended for best rates. Tee time can also be booked on our app, go to your favorite app store and search Volcano Golf Shop. 

How far in advance can I book a tee time? 

Tee times can be booked 60 days in advance. Walk-ins are accepted based on availability. 

Do you offer golf lessons or clinics? 

Golf lessons are not explicitly listed. Contact the golf shop for instructor availability and options. 

Are carts available, and is there a cart fee? 

Yes, golf carts are available and included with green fees. Single rider carts may incur an additional fee. 

Do you provide rental clubs or other equipment? 

Yes, rental clubs are available. Contact the golf shop for pricing and availability. 

Is there a dress code? 

Proper golf attire is required. Collared shirts and soft spikes are recommended. Denim and tank tops are discouraged. 

Do you have practice facilities (driving range, putting green)? 

Yes, the club offers a putting green and short-game practice area. Driving range availability is limited. 

Are children allowed on the course? 

Yes, children are welcome with adult supervision. Junior programs may be available seasonally. 

Do you have water stations on the course? 

Water stations are not available.  Bottled water is available for purchase in the golf shop. 

What types of tournaments or events are hosted at Volcano Golf Course? 

The course hosts charity tournaments, group outings, and community events. Contact the events coordinator for details. 

Are there twilight or weekday specials at Volcano Golf Course? 

Yes, twilight rates and weekday specials are available. Check the website or call for current offers. 

Does Volcano Golf Course have on-site dining or a bar? 

We do not have a snack bar.  We have a variety of packaged snacks and beverages, non-alcohol and alcohol.  Food may be available from food trucks/vendors. 

Is there a pro shop at Volcano Golf Course? What do they offer? 

Yes, the pro shop offers golf apparel, accessories, and equipment. Staff can assist with tee times and lessons. 

Are there any unique features of Volcano Golf Course (e.g., signature hole, scenic views)? 

The course is located near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and features lush landscapes, elevation changes, and cool mountain air. 

Do you issue rain checks or refunds for cancellations? 

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Contact the golf shop for refund policies. 

Can I book online or only by phone? 

Online booking is preferred and available at volcanogc.com. Phone booking is also accepted. 

How busy is the course on weekends? 

Weekends are typically busy. Advance booking is recommended to secure tee times. 

Do you allow riders that are not playing golf? 

Yes, riders are allowed for a fee. Contact the golf shop for current rider policies. 

Do you allow food and beverage to be carried on? 

Outside alcohol is not allowed. Please purchase any drinks from our clubhouse.

What is the difficulty of the course? 

Volcano Golf Course is moderately challenging with a slope rating of 129 and a course rating of 71.8 from the back tees. 

Do your golf cars have GPS? 

Golf carts do not have GPS systems. You can download our free mobile app which features GPS of our golf course.

Do you pair groups of less than 4? 

We want everyone to have an enjoyable round.  We may pair golfers to ensure a good pace of play on a busy day.
